AI Generated Metadata
AI-generated metadata is descriptive or machine-readable information created by a generative system for a resource, such as a title, description, alt text, taxonomy label or structured-data value.
What it means
The field is still a factual claim about the underlying page, product or asset. Website metadata must remain accurate and page-specific; Google Merchant Center separately requires structured fields for certain AI-generated product titles and descriptions, while provenance marks such as C2PA record origin and edits.
Why it matters
Metadata can reach search results, feeds, assistive technology and downstream systems even when visitors do not see the field in the page body. One fabricated price, attribute or author can therefore propagate beyond the publishing screen.
Example
A model drafts a product description that invents waterproofing. The workflow rejects the field because the approved specification contains no water-resistance claim, then records the corrected source and reviewer.
Common mistakes
Do not publish generated fields without comparing them with visible content and authoritative data, copy one description across many URLs or assume a valid schema test proves truth. Do not generalise Merchant Center labelling rules to every HTML meta tag.
How AYSA handles this
Signals reviewed
generated field, source field, destination, schema validation, approval status
Problem AYSA can identify
AYSA can detect supported metadata that conflicts with visible content, repeats boilerplate or lacks an approved source.
Recommendation prepared
The proposal replaces the field with a unique, source-backed value and identifies any destination-specific rule.
Approval preview
The user sees old and proposed metadata, supporting evidence, affected URLs and validation output.
Execution
AYSA can apply approved title, description and supported schema changes on connected WordPress sites.
Verification
AYSA recrawls the page, validates rendered metadata and checks that the visible source remains consistent.
Limits
AYSA cannot force Google to use a supplied title or snippet and does not certify compliance with every feed or provenance regime.

Quick answers
Frequently asked questions
Can AI-generated metadata be published automatically?
Only after field-level validation, policy checks and the required approval for the destination; generated text is not evidence.
Does valid structured data prove the metadata is accurate?
No. A validator can confirm syntax while the values remain unsupported, misleading or inconsistent with visible content.
