Structured data
Structured data is machine-readable markup that identifies the entities, attributes and relationships represented by a page.
What it means
Websites commonly use Schema.org vocabulary in JSON-LD, Microdata or RDFa. Google supports documented types and properties for specific search features, while Schema.org contains a broader vocabulary that does not by itself create rich-result eligibility.
Why it matters
Accurate markup can help systems interpret content and can make a page eligible for supported search appearances. It must describe visible, current page information and remain consistent with the canonical content and feature-specific policies.
Example
A product page can declare its product, offer, price and availability in JSON-LD using values visible to shoppers. Validate required properties, compare the rendered markup with the page and feed, and monitor Search Console after template changes.
Common mistakes
Do not mark up hidden or invented content, copy stale prices, choose an unrelated type, omit required properties, duplicate conflicting graphs or promise that valid markup will produce a rich result.
How AYSA handles this
Signals reviewed
Rendered JSON-LD or Microdata, visible page values, canonical URL, required properties, validation results
Problem AYSA can identify
AYSA can identify syntax errors, missing required properties, conflicting graphs and markup values that disagree with visible content.
Recommendation prepared
The preview names the affected type and properties, shows current and proposed values and links the change to the applicable documentation.
Approval preview
The user reviews the exact markup diff and representative pages before a template-level change.
Execution
On supported WordPress templates, AYSA can apply approved structured-data changes; unsupported themes or applications require developer implementation.
Verification
AYSA inspects rendered markup on sample URLs and reruns appropriate validators after deployment.
Limits
Correct markup does not guarantee a rich result, ranking improvement or AI citation.

Quick answers
Frequently asked questions
Does valid structured data guarantee a rich result?
No. Valid, policy-compliant markup creates eligibility for supported features, but Google decides whether a rich result is appropriate for a particular search.
