Structured data testing

Structured data testing is the staged verification of markup syntax, vocabulary use, search-feature requirements, rendered output and live production behavior.

What it means

No single test proves every layer. Schema markup Validator checks broad Schema.org vocabulary, Google's Rich results Test evaluates supported Google features, and a rendered-page inspection confirms that templates, scripts and caches emit the intended graph.

Why it matters

Markup can pass a code test yet contradict visible content, disappear after deployment or remain ineligible under a feature policy. Testing before release and Monitoring Search Console afterward catches different failure classes.

Example

A product template passes Schema.org validation, but the Rich results Test finds a missing priceCurrency. After correction, a live crawl reveals that one cached currency variant still serves the old Offer, so cache invalidation becomes part of the fix.

Common mistakes

Do not treat warnings as identical to critical errors, validate only a pasted snippet or assume a successful preview guarantees appearance. Test representative templates, rendered URLs and data changes such as price, stock and dates.

How AYSA handles this

Signals reviewed

validator output, Google feature errors, rendered graphs, template coverage, Search Console trends

Problem AYSA can identify

AYSA can separate syntax faults, unsupported properties, missing feature fields and markup that disappears on particular live templates.

Recommendation prepared

The proposal identifies the failing layer, affected templates, authoritative data source and smallest corrective change.

Approval preview

The user reviews test evidence, example URLs, expected graph differences and any template-wide impact.

Execution

AYSA can apply approved mappings and template corrections on supported WordPress installations.

Verification

AYSA reruns both validators, crawls production examples and monitors the relevant enhancement report after release.

Limits

AYSA cannot guarantee Google will display an eligible feature or force immediate recrawling and report updates.
