Schema.org
Schema.org is a collaborative vocabulary of types and properties for describing entities and relationships in machine-readable web data.
What it means
The vocabulary defines concepts such as Product, Article, Person and LocalBusiness plus properties connecting them. Sites can express these terms through JSON-LD, Microdata or RDFa, while individual consumers decide which subsets, formats and feature requirements they support.
Why it matters
Using a recognized vocabulary reduces ambiguous custom labels and helps systems interpret the same Entity Graph. A valid Schema.org statement is not automatically eligible for a Google rich result, because Google publishes separate supported-type, property and content policies.
Example
A product page uses the Schema.org Product type with a nested Offer. Schema.org defines the vocabulary relationship; Google's merchant and product-snippet documentation determines which visible properties are required for its search features.
Common mistakes
Do not call Schema.org a Google ranking system, invent properties when a defined term exists or assume every vocabulary type creates a rich result. Avoid mixing entity identifiers that accidentally describe one business as several unrelated organizations.
How AYSA handles this
Signals reviewed
Declared context, types and properties, entity identifiers, visible page entities, consumer requirements
Problem AYSA can identify
AYSA can identify undefined properties, overly generic types and disconnected nodes that misrepresent the visible entity.
Recommendation prepared
The proposal selects defined vocabulary terms and maps each consumer-specific requirement separately.
Approval preview
The user reviews the visible entity, proposed graph, identifiers and supported feature documentation before approval.
Execution
AYSA can update approved JSON-LD in supported WordPress templates; other platforms require access to their schema layer.
Verification
AYSA validates vocabulary syntax, rendered graph, entity identity and applicable Google requirements after deployment.
Limits
AYSA cannot make unsupported vocabulary produce a rich result or guarantee that any search feature appears.
