Entity Graph

An entity graph is a graph-shaped data model whose nodes represent identified entities and whose edges represent typed relationships or assertions between those entities.

What it means

The graph may use RDF triples or another property-graph model. Its value depends on stable identifiers, clear predicates, provenance, versioning and constraints; the label does not imply that the graph is public or part of Google's Knowledge graph.

Why it matters

A graph can connect facts across records and support traversal, retrieval or validation. It can also amplify one erroneous identity merge across many edges, making source-level review and reversible updates essential.

Example

An owned product graph links a model to its manufacturer, compatible accessories and dated specifications, with each assertion traceable to a current catalogue source.

Common mistakes

Do not call any collection of keywords an entity graph, merge nodes because names match or imply that publishing JSON-LD grants write access to an external Knowledge graph.

How AYSA handles this

Signals reviewed

node identifier, typed edge, source provenance, graph version, constraint violation

Problem AYSA can identify

AYSA can identify supplied owned graphs with duplicate nodes, unsupported edges, stale sources or inconsistent identifiers.

Recommendation prepared

The proposal separates ambiguous nodes and attaches provenance and validation rules to material assertions.

Approval preview

The user reviews affected nodes, edges, evidence, downstream queries and the rollback-safe graph diff.

Execution

AYSA can apply approved supported structured-data or owned-graph changes within connected systems.

Verification

AYSA validates identifiers, source references and representative traversals after the approved graph version becomes active.

Limits

AYSA cannot write to Google's Knowledge Graph or guarantee that external systems adopt an owned graph assertion.

Quick answers

Frequently asked questions

Is every entity graph part of Google's Knowledge Graph?

No. An organization may maintain a private or public graph that is entirely separate from Google's systems.

Does JSON-LD automatically create an entity graph?

It can express graph-shaped statements, but those statements still require accurate identities, relationships and provenance.
