Entity Graph
An entity graph is a graph-shaped data model whose nodes represent identified entities and whose edges represent typed relationships or assertions between those entities.
What it means
The graph may use RDF triples or another property-graph model. Its value depends on stable identifiers, clear predicates, provenance, versioning and constraints; the label does not imply that the graph is public or part of Google's Knowledge graph.
Why it matters
A graph can connect facts across records and support traversal, retrieval or validation. It can also amplify one erroneous identity merge across many edges, making source-level review and reversible updates essential.
Example
An owned product graph links a model to its manufacturer, compatible accessories and dated specifications, with each assertion traceable to a current catalogue source.
Common mistakes
Do not call any collection of keywords an entity graph, merge nodes because names match or imply that publishing JSON-LD grants write access to an external Knowledge graph.
