Schema Conflict
A Schema Conflict is an incompatible structured-data claim about type, identity, relationship or property value on the same page.
What it means
Conflicts can occur inside one graph, between separate generators or between markup and visible content. Examples include different canonical URLs for one Product, an Article with two modification dates or LocalBusiness hours that disagree with the displayed schedule.
Why it matters
A parser may ignore, reinterpret or reject conflicting data even when each isolated block is syntactically valid. The remedy requires an authoritative source and ownership decision, not merely choosing whichever value passes a validator.
Example
A commerce plugin reports OutOfStock while cached custom JSON-LD reports InStock. Inventory is designated authoritative, the custom offer output is removed and cache invalidation is verified on product variants.
Common mistakes
Do not resolve conflicts by hiding visible data, average incompatible values or add another corrective JSON-LD block. Avoid assuming validator success proves semantic agreement across the entire rendered page.
How AYSA handles this
Signals reviewed
Entity identifiers, property values, visible content, source timestamps, generator ownership
Problem AYSA can identify
AYSA can compare nodes and visible facts to locate incompatible claims and the templates or caches producing them.
Recommendation prepared
The proposal names the authoritative source, removes competing output and defines future ownership for the property.
Approval preview
The user reviews each disputed value, evidence, selected authority and downstream effect before approval.
Execution
AYSA can update supported WordPress mappings and caches; external commerce or location systems require their owners.
Verification
AYSA rerenders live pages, compares visible and machine-readable facts and confirms conflicts do not recur after refresh.
Limits
AYSA cannot choose between business facts when no accountable authoritative source exists.
