AYSA Execution
Schema Coverage
Schema Coverage is an AYSA audit measure of how many eligible page templates and visible primary entities have accurate, policy-relevant structured data.
What it means
Coverage is evaluated against a documented eligible set, not every URL or every Schema.org type. A page counts only when its rendered graph represents visible facts, passes the relevant checks and has an accountable data owner.
Why it matters
A raw markup count rewards unnecessary nodes and hides template gaps. Coverage tied to eligibility reveals missing implementation, invalid variants and deployments that appear only on selected samples.
Example
An audit defines 800 purchasable product URLs and 40 editorial review pages as two separate eligible groups. Product coverage is reported independently because merchant and product-snippet requirements differ.
Common mistakes
Do not call Schema Coverage a Google ranking metric, divide marked pages by the entire site or count invalid and duplicated nodes as success. Record the denominator and exclusions.
How AYSA handles this
Signals reviewed
eligible templates, primary entities, valid rendered items, critical issues, deployment consistency
Problem AYSA can identify
AYSA can find eligible templates with absent, invalid, contradictory or only partially deployed markup.
Recommendation prepared
The proposal ranks gaps by feature relevance, affected URLs and shared template cause.
Approval preview
The user reviews the denominator, exclusions, sampled evidence and proposed rollout scope.
Execution
AYSA can apply approved template fixes on supported platforms rather than adding markup to ineligible pages.
Verification
AYSA recrawls the eligible set and reports coverage by template, feature and validation state.
Limits
Coverage does not measure rankings, rich-result display or the business value of every eligible item.
