Natural language query
A natural language query expresses an information need in ordinary human wording rather than a formal query language, rigid command or database syntax.
What it means
It may be a full question, a sentence fragment or a detailed request entered by text or speech. Natural language describes formulation; it does not by itself mean the exchange has multiple conversational turns.
Why it matters
Longer human wording can expose constraints, entities and desired outcomes that terse targets omit. Content planning should answer the underlying need instead of manufacturing one page for every surface variation.
Example
`Which running shoes suit wet trails and wide feet?` is natural language, while `category:trail width:wide waterproof:true` resembles a structured filter expression.
Common mistakes
Do not call every long phrase conversational, assume spoken input is always a question or copy prompts verbatim as headings. Normalize meaning while preserving important constraints.
How AYSA handles this
Signals reviewed
raw query text, entities, constraints, question structure, dialogue dependency
Problem AYSA can identify
AYSA can flag plans that split equivalent wording into redundant pages or discard meaningful constraints.
Recommendation prepared
The proposal groups equivalent requests by need while retaining constraints that change the answer.
Approval preview
The user reviews raw examples, normalized meaning, grouping confidence and proposed destination.
Execution
AYSA can update an approved query model and content brief without publishing raw private query text.
Verification
AYSA checks that the destination answers the retained constraints and that privacy-safe evidence remains traceable.
Limits
AYSA cannot infer unexpressed context or treat every language variation as identical.

Quick answers
Frequently asked questions
Is every natural language query conversational?
No. A natural-language request can be a single standalone turn with no dialogue history.
