Link Building
Trust Flow
Trust Flow is Majestic's proprietary 0–100 Flow Metric based on link-graph proximity to a set of sites Majestic selected through manual review.
What it means
Majestic uses trusted seed sites as the foundation and recommends interpreting Trust Flow with Citation Flow. The value belongs to Majestic's index and model; it does not certify a publisher, page, business or claim as trustworthy, and it is not a Google trust score. The seed set and full computation are not independently observable from the output.
Why it matters
The boundary prevents a link-analysis prediction from becoming a reputational verdict or a substitute for source, relationship and content review.
Example
A root domain has Trust Flow 24 and Citation Flow 38 in a dated Fresh Index capture; the analyst inspects the relevant linking pages rather than labelling the business “24% trustworthy.”
Common mistakes
Do not equate the number with human trust, safety or policy compliance; omit Majestic; divide it by Citation Flow as an automatic spam verdict; compare it directly with Moz scores; ignore scope and date or promise rankings.
How AYSA handles this
Signals reviewed
provider, Trust Flow, Citation Flow, URL scope, index, index date, capture time, source-page sample
Problem AYSA can identify
AYSA can identify Trust Flow used as a reputational verdict, missing vendor provenance, stale values and unsupported ratio thresholds.
Recommendation prepared
The report labels the metric as a Majestic model output and pairs it with dated source evidence and human review.
Approval preview
The user sees the exact score, paired Citation Flow, scope, index, source samples, uncertainty and revised wording.
Execution
AYSA can store and compare approved Majestic observations; it cannot certify trustworthiness or search-engine policy status.
Verification
Changes are recorded against provider index dates and checked against actual link evidence before interpretation.
Limits
Seed selection and computation are vendor-controlled, and the score does not prove credibility, compliance, traffic or rankings.

Quick answers
Frequently asked questions
Does Trust Flow measure whether a business is trustworthy?
No. It is a Majestic link-graph metric, not a factual or legal trust certification.
Does a low Trust Flow prove link spam?
No. The underlying links, scope, coverage and relationships still require review.
