Entity Coverage
Entity coverage is an internal measure of how completely a page or content set addresses the entities, attributes and relationships required by a defined user task.
What it means
A valid calculation starts with a documented requirement set and reports which required items are supported, missing or not applicable. Raw entity density is not coverage, and no public Google threshold exists.
Why it matters
Coverage analysis can reveal a comparison missing one candidate or a guide omitting a required dependency. It also prevents a long list of irrelevant named things from being mistaken for comprehensive content.
Example
A migration guide requires the old platform, new platform, data objects, authentication method and rollback owner. Four verified items out of five produce 80% internal coverage, with the missing rollback owner shown explicitly.
Common mistakes
Do not use competitor term frequency as the requirement set, reward irrelevant mentions, hide not-applicable exclusions or present the percentage as a ranking score.
How AYSA handles this
Signals reviewed
task requirement, entity mention, supported attribute, relationship evidence, not-applicable reason
Problem AYSA can identify
AYSA can compare supplied owned content with an approved requirement set and identify unsupported or missing items.
Recommendation prepared
The proposal fills only material evidence gaps and removes additions that do not serve the defined task.
Approval preview
The user reviews the requirement set, denominator, evidence, missing items and proposed content changes.
Execution
AYSA can apply approved content and link changes on supported connected pages.
Verification
AYSA recalculates the disclosed coverage measure and validates cited sources after publication.
Limits
AYSA cannot infer a universal optimal entity count or guarantee that a coverage change affects ranking or AI selection.

Quick answers
Frequently asked questions
Is higher entity coverage always better?
No. Coverage is useful only against a justified task-specific requirement set; irrelevant additions can make content worse.
Does Google publish an entity coverage threshold?
No public Google threshold or universal Entity Coverage score is documented.
