Google Rich Results

Google Rich Results are the documented Google Search feature types that can use eligible page data for enhanced result presentations.

What it means

Google maintains a feature gallery with type-specific technical, content and property requirements. The supported list and individual behavior can change independently of the broader Schema.org vocabulary.

Why it matters

Separating Google's support matrix from vocabulary validity prevents teams from implementing a valid Schema.org type that has no corresponding Google Search enhancement. It also makes deprecations and policy changes auditable.

Example

A Schema.org type validates correctly, but it does not appear in Google's current gallery. The markup may still describe the page for other consumers, yet it is not presented internally as a Google rich-result opportunity.

Common mistakes

Do not treat the Schema.org type catalog as Google's feature catalog, or assume a historically supported feature still appears. Check the current feature documentation and Search Console reporting.

How AYSA handles this

Signals reviewed

current gallery support, feature documentation, required fields, critical issues, report availability

Problem AYSA can identify

AYSA can flag implementations based on unsupported, deprecated or misunderstood Google feature assumptions.

Recommendation prepared

The proposal links each eligible template to current Google documentation and removes unsupported display claims.

Approval preview

The user reviews the support evidence, required fields, affected URLs and expected monitoring report.

Execution

AYSA can adjust supported templates after approval while retaining useful non-Google vocabulary where justified.

Verification

AYSA reruns feature testing and checks live detection and Search Console reports without claiming guaranteed display.

Limits

AYSA cannot prevent Google from changing support or ensure an eligible rich result appears.
