Technical SEO
Indexability
Indexability is a page's technical eligibility to be processed for inclusion in a search engine index.
What it means
An indexable page is normally crawlable, returns usable content with a successful response, lacks a Noindex directive and does not clearly designate another URL as its canonical replacement. Eligibility does not mean the engine must store or serve the page, because duplicate selection and content evaluation happen during Indexing.
Why it matters
Separating indexability from actual indexed status prevents the wrong fix. Removing an accidental Noindex is appropriate for a blocked page, while a crawlable canonical page excluded for duplication or weak content needs a different investigation.
Example
A Category page returns 200, permits Googlebot and declares a self-canonical, but Search Console reports a different canonical selected by Google. Its technical directives allow Indexing; the diagnosis should compare duplication and internal signals rather than repeatedly resubmitting the URL.
Common mistakes
Do not label every non-indexed URL as non-indexable. Avoid ignoring X-Robots-Tag headers, inherited template directives, canonical targets, response bodies that resemble errors and differences between live HTML and the version a crawler renders.
How AYSA handles this
Signals reviewed
HTTP status and body, robots meta and headers, canonical declaration, robots access, sitemap and internal signals
Problem AYSA can identify
AYSA can identify explicit blockers and conflicting technical signals that make intended index eligibility unclear.
Recommendation prepared
The proposed action names the exact directive, header, canonical or response condition to correct and separates it from content-selection issues.
Approval preview
The user reviews current and proposed indexability signals on representative URLs before any template-level update.
Execution
AYSA can apply approved metadata or canonical changes on supported WordPress templates; CDN headers and application routing may require manual work.
Verification
AYSA refetches raw and rendered output, rechecks headers and confirms that the approved indexability state is consistent across the template.
Limits
AYSA can verify eligibility signals but cannot require a search engine to select or retain the page in its index.

Quick answers
Frequently asked questions
Does a 200 response make a page indexable?
Not by itself. The page also needs accessible, processable content and must not be excluded by robots directives or superseded by a different canonical URL.
