Product FAQ

A Product FAQ is a visible set of product-specific questions and answers that resolves material uncertainty about choosing, using, receiving or returning an item.

What it means

Questions should come from real support, sales, returns, reviews or on-site search evidence and answers must match the current product and policy. Schema.org still defines FAQPage, but Google stopped showing the FAQ rich result in May 2026 and removed its feature documentation in June 2026, so product FAQs should be justified by shopper value rather than a Google enhancement promise.

Why it matters

Accurate answers can reduce purchase friction and support accessible product understanding even when no special search presentation exists.

Example

A rechargeable lamp page answers whether the battery is replaceable, which charger is included, the measured charging time and the applicable return condition, with each answer linked to current product data.

Common mistakes

Do not publish generic questions across every SKU, copy unsupported manufacturer claims, conceal policy exceptions, mark up answers that users cannot see, fabricate demand or promise FAQ Rich results that Google no longer shows.

How AYSA handles this

Signals reviewed

support question, sales objection, return reason, on-site query, product fact, policy source, answer owner

Problem AYSA can identify

AYSA can identify duplicated generic FAQs, unsupported answers, invisible markup and claims that the retired Google FAQ rich result will appear.

Recommendation prepared

The plan keeps only evidenced product questions, assigns an answer source and owner, and removes obsolete enhancement claims.

Approval preview

The reviewer sees question evidence, product-specific answer, source, expiry trigger, visible placement and any AI-generated draft label.

Execution

AYSA can publish approved visible answers on supported product pages; legal, safety and policy statements require their authoritative owner.

Verification

The live page is checked for answer visibility, product specificity, source consistency, accessibility and absence of unsupported rich-result claims.

Limits

AYSA's evidence is page- and workflow-bound; automated recommendations, generated text and review logs do not automatically certify AI Act or legal compliance, and applicable Article 50 duties require a separate role-and-use assessment from 2 August 2026.
