International SEO
Geographic SEO
Geographic SEO is a non-standard umbrella label for search work whose audience, content, delivery or measurement is explicitly scoped to one or more geographic markets.
What it means
The implementation depends on the scale: a staffed city location can require Local SEO, while country or language-region variants can require International SEO, locale-specific URLs and Hreflang. A geographic name alone does not justify a new page, and Google warns that geotargeting is not exact and that IP-based content adaptation can impair Crawling.
Why it matters
Declaring the geographic level, customer need and technical method prevents city-doorway tactics from being confused with country localization or contextual result measurement.
Example
A manufacturer maps Romania to Romanian content, France to French locale URLs and Bucharest service visits to one real location workflow instead of calling every activity GEO optimization.
Common mistakes
Do not mix language with country, redirect users solely by IP, create thin pages for every city, use ignored geographic meta tags or assume one market observation applies globally.
How AYSA handles this
Signals reviewed
market, language, country, location, service area, URL variant, hreflang, customer need
Problem AYSA can identify
AYSA can detect mixed market definitions, language-country confusion, IP-only delivery, unsupported city variants and locale URLs without reciprocal mapping.
Recommendation prepared
AYSA classifies each scope as local, multi-regional or multilingual and proposes only the URLs and annotations supported by real user needs.
Approval preview
The user sees the market matrix, content differences, URL ownership, locale annotations, local-operation evidence and consolidation risk.
Execution
AYSA can publish approved owned-site content and supported locale annotations; it cannot guarantee Google selects a particular regional result.
Verification
AYSA crawls the declared variants, checks canonicals and hreflang, confirms visible market facts and records context-bound result observations.
Limits
The evidence remains business-, market-, location-, platform- and time-bound; signals, recommendations, generated drafts, approvals and monitoring do not automatically certify AI Act or legal compliance, and applicable Article 50 transparency duties require a separate role-and-use assessment from 2 August 2026.

Quick answers
Frequently asked questions
Is Geographic SEO a separate Google system?
No. It is an umbrella label; the appropriate implementation depends on the actual market and user need.
Does every city need its own geographic page?
No. A separate page needs distinct, truthful customer value rather than only a substituted place name.
